Sam Houston University Turf
Inspired by the dripping methods of Jackson Pollock, Frank created this painting while he was coaching college football at Sam Houston State University. With the football field being newly turfed, Frank incorporate the turf to give the painting texture and then overlayed the school colors of Orange and Dark Blue. Once the painting was complete family and friends came across the a picture of Jackson Pollocks 1950 Lavender Mist and noticed the resembles.
Needless to say the original is a family favorite and will remain in the Private Collection. However, Frank would love for you to have a print of this beautiful painting for your home or office.
