Frank Ditta is an American Abstract Artist based in Houston Texas. This former All American & Hall of Fame Baylor football player has turned his passion into creating vividly contrasting abstract paintings.
Inspired by the techniques of Jackson Pollock, Frank began his journey of Abstract painting while living in Sydney Australia. Experimenting with the ‘dripping method’, Frank continued to evolve his style incorporating meaningful items into the paintings for added texture.
As Frank continued to experiment with the properties of the acrylic paint, he has evolved into his current and popular ‘Cracking’ series of paintings.
Layering dynamically contrasting paint colors, he has developed a process to create a ‘Cracking Effect’ that reveals vibrant and surprising colors.
It is a great pleasure of the artist to post his newly painted artwork on his private social media pages and wait to hear comments from friends and family of ‘what they see in the paintings’. Of course we all know that is the joy of an Abstract Painting. You continue to see new items in your paintings each time you look at them.
